The Top 5 Best Dog Bars and Breweries in Miami

Having a drink with your best friend is sometimes all you need to draw the hard work week to a close. But when your best friend has paws for hands and feet, it could pose a problem. Thankfully, there are dog-friendly establishments in Miami that understand how dogs can be better company than people and welcome them with open arms. Here are five places in the city where you can grab a beer or sip on wine with your pup.

Westchester – Lincoln’s Beard Brewing Company

Sometimes you can get a sense of an establishment’s level of dog friendliness before even walking inside. Lincoln’s is a neighborhood brewery with a doggie bowl full of fresh water at the door. Serving a variety of craft beers and food for humans, Lincoln’s has a shaded outdoor patio where you can hang out with your dog. Just make sure you bring some snacks to distract him from the very tempting food truck aromas.

Coconut Grove – Taurus in the Grove

If you’re a Miami native, you know how unpredictable the weather can be. The only guarantee is this: it’s always hot. Taurus in the Grove offers not only over 50 refreshing beer selections, but you’re welcome to sit inside and enjoy the a/c with your dog. Use the hashtag #dogsofTaurus on social media to share your pup’s afternoon in Miami’s dog-friendliest bar.

Brickell – Batch Gastropub

Batch is situated in one of Miami’s busiest and fastest-growing neighborhoods: Brickell. A dog-friendly area by design, Brickell has plenty of restaurants and bars that offer dog-friendly outdoor seating, but not all of them are dog lovers like Batch. The gastropub recently held its first adoption event, where dogs from the Humane Society of Greater Miami in need of forever homes charmed every diner and pedestrian on the block.

Downtown – 180 Degrees at the DRB

180 Degrees is home to over 150 craft beers, one of Miami’s favorite burgers and a dog-loving chef, Ryan Martin. Ryan hosts bi-monthly adoption events at 180 Degrees in partnership with Caring About The Strays, the organization where he adopted his own two dogs, and Heartbeat at Your Feet Animal Rescue. Bring your own dog to socialize in the outdoor patio but do be warned: you may or may not fall in love with a puppy.

Fort Lauderdale – Q-Bar Burgers & Blues

Q-Bar prides itself in being dog friendly. They call it “dog friendly bragging rights.” The New Orleans inspired jazz bar features live music and all-day every-day happy hour. For those enjoying the $4 beers and local bands in the patio with their dogs, there’s a doggy menu featuring grilled chicken and rice, meatloaf and sweet potato and even a dog friendly beer, all of which are served with a dog biscuit.
